Description
Located on the West Coast of Scotland is the Isle of Jura, where the red deer population outnumbers the human population by 5000 to 200. The island lies only 60 miles from Glasgow, (as the crow flies), yet can take rather a long time to reach. It consists of one road, one pub, one distillery and one shop and is often described as remote. Jura; home to 7 private estates, the soaring Paps of Jura, one shop, one pub and since 1810 one fine malt whisky distillery. Distilled in 1984 to commemorate the famous novel written on the island, this rare whisky has been quietly maturing for 21 years in beachside warehouses. This beautifully matured island single malt showcases the depth and elegance achieved through over two decades of careful ageing, reflecting the distillery's distinctive maritime character, combining rich sweetness, gentle spice, and subtle coastal influence in a refined and complex whisky.
