Nose
Rather rounded, with brown sugar and dried oranges, toffee and a clear smoky background. Nicely balanced sherry influence (raisins, blackberries). Hints of eucalyptus and herbs. Oriental wood and dusty books. Camphor. Soft hints of turpentine.
Palate
Nice, almost like a very, very old peated whisky that lost most of its power over time. Very smooth, with subtle smoke, soft resinous touches and a malty sweetness behind it. Subtle spices. The balance is excellent.
Finish
Not too long but very tasty, mainly on dry malty notes and smoke.
