Description

Kanekou blends exclusively with malt and wheat whisky aged three years or more, and rice whisky aged in sherry casks for more than 8 years. The Ryukyu Whisky is made entirely from rice and aged in oak casks in Okinawa's subtropical climate. The hot and humid climate accelerates the cask maturation process while the gentle breeze from the Pacific Ocean adds a touch of subtropical flavor.

Aromas of nectar, sweet cream, citrus, pineapple, tropical fruit. Light and fruity with notes of honey, vanilla, ripe banana and coconut. Subtle floral hints of jasmine and gentle oak in the background.
Palate
Mineral, citrus, ginger sugar liqueur. Smooth and balanced with flavours of honey, malt, white chocolate and tropical fruit. Soft spices emerge alongside a creamy, rounded texture and delicate oak influence.
Finish
Long lasting, light sweetness. Medium-length, elegant and slightly sweet with lingering vanilla, almond and a hint of tropical warmth.
