Description
A modern Japanese whisky distillery, founded in 2017 by Komasa Jyozo Co. Located along the Fukiagehama Beach in the Kagoshima Prefecture, it operates three differently-shaped pot stills to produce a variety of single malts which it then blends together. Its first whisky was released in 2021. This specific release is a single cask whisky, matured in bourbon oak, bottled for Casa de Vinos' 15th Anniversary. Kanosuke's location offers a unique maritime influence on the whisky maturation process, resulting in a house style that is mellow and mineral, round, expressive, and sometimes salty.
