Description

Kanosuke Double Distillery Japanese Whisky is a blend from the Kanosuke and Hioki distilleries in Kagoshima, Japan, combining single malt and pot still whiskies made from malted and unmalted barley. This non-age statement release is non-chill filtered and bottled at 53% ABV. It is aged in a combination of new American oak, re-charred Mellowed Kozuru rice shochu American oak casks, sherry casks, and ex-bourbon casks, and is part of Kanosuke's core range.

Moderately oaky, rich fruity, soft and bitter aftertaste, intense drying sensation, ripe plum, vanilla, oak, light spice from unmalted barley, apples, light bitter crushed seeds/stems, honey, long lingering finish of honey and lemon sweets, balanced by fresh eucalyptus, salted caramel, lingering old wood.
