Description
The Kanosuke Japanese Whisky 2021 - First & Second Edition represents the inaugural single malt releases from Kanosuke Distillery. The First Edition, released in June 2021, was distilled between 2017 and 2018 and matured for three years primarily in re-charred American white oak ex-Mellowed Kozuru shochu casks, bottled at 58% ABV. The Second Edition, released in November 2021, was distilled in 2018 and also matured for three years, predominantly in first-fill re-charred ex-bourbon barrels, with some components from sherry casks, bottled at 57% ABV. Both are unpeated, non-chill filtered single malt whiskies from Kagoshima, Japan, and were produced using all three of Kanosuke's pot stills.
