Description
From the now closed Karuizawa distillery in Nagano prefecture, this 30 year old single malt was aged in ex-Sherry casks & bottled at 55.2% ABV. Karuizawa distillery was Japan's smallest whisky distillery which produced first class malt whiskeys and was established in 1955 in the foothills of Mount Asama, an active volcano north-west of Tokyo, to make single malt whisky in as traditional manner as possible. It was bottled without added colouring and chill filtration at cask strength 55.2% Vol. in the year 2015 as part of the limited Artifices series with the artist label of Warren Khong from Singapore in an edition of only 315 bottles for the French whisky specialist La Maison du Whisky.
