Description

The Karuizawa Thousand Arrows boxed set was released in 2015 and contains three bottles distilled in 1980, 1981, and 1982. Each bottle is from a single cask, with the 1980 from a Bourbon Cask and the 1981 and 1982 from Sherry Butts. Only 257 sets were produced globally. The labels feature an ukiyo-e painting by Utagawa Kuniyoshi depicting 'The Last Stand of the Kusunoki Heroes at Shijo-Nawate', a battle between the Southern and Northern Courts of Japan. Karuizawa was a legendary Japanese distillery that closed in 2000, with its original distillery dismantled in 2016.
