Description

This Karuizawa was distilled in 1969 and matured in single sherry cask #538 for an incredible 50 years. It was bottled in 2019, and is presented in an impressive wooden display case. One of 347 bottles. A legendary name in Japanese whisky that developed significant cult status due to many exceptional releases of its whisky following its closure in 2000. The original distillery was dismantled in 2016, however a new one was built 7 miles away in the town of Karuizawa, commencing production in 2023.
