Kavalan Bourbon Oak Matured is a single malt whisky from Taiwan, produced by the Kavalan Distillery, part of the King Car Group. It is matured exclusively in hand-selected first-fill American ex-Bourbon barrels. This expression is bottled at 46% ABV and is non-chill filtered, offering a smooth taste with tropical fruitiness, vanilla, and coconut highlights.

Orange bitters, creme brulee, honeycomb, vanilla fudge, buttery toffee popcorn, coconut, apricot jam, caramelised peaches, rum bhaba, butterscotch, sugared almonds. Also tropical fruits like mango, papaya, banana, pineapple, and citrus, with notes of vanilla, honey, and soft oak.
Palate
Rich and sweet, with peaches and apricots in stock syrup, french toast, orange blossom honey, vanilla infused custard, rum and raisin fudge, manchester tarts, egg nog and nutmeg, buttery toffee, marzipan. Also vanilla, coconut, oak spices, caramel, and tropical fruits.
Finish
Hot butterscotch, vanilla ice cream, crunchie bars, charred and caramelised orchard fruits, egg custard with a dusting of icing sugar, oily/waxy orange, drying oak. Long and lingering with sweet vanilla, oak spice, and tropical fruits.
