Description

The first commercial single malt whisky distillery in Taiwan, built by the King Car Group in 2005 and producing its first spirit the following year. The distillery takes its name from the indigenous Kavalan people of Taiwan's Kabalan Plain and the brand was launched in December 2008. The new make is refined in new bourbon casks and double matured before it is developed for over 2 months in Kavalan's unique Shave, Toast, Rechar (STR) wine casks to culminate in the smooth texture and the full-bodied, nuanced flavors of the whisky.
