Description

Kavalan 11 Years Old Port Cask 2010 is a single cask bottling from the Kavalan distillery in Taiwan. Port cask #O100929029A was specially selected for the Netherlands. The single malt was distilled on 29 September 2010 and matured for 11 years, before being bottled on 12 September 2022 at a cask strength of 56.3%. Kavalan is the first private whisky distillery in Taiwan. It was established in 2005.

Fine notes of milk chocolate and roasted coffee. Violets and roses give a light floral touch. This freshness provides a surprisingly accessible nose, so the 55.6% alcohol does not overpower at any time.
Palate
The alcohol is also very well integrated, sweet cocoa notes bring a lot of complexity and depth. This harmony creates a very pleasant drinkable and perfectly balanced whisky that expands into hints of flowers.
Finish
Long and sweet with the return of floral hints.
