Nose
Juicy cherry jam, prune, bramble, chocolates with raspberry ganache, orange juice, mossy notes, light herbs, tobacco, and elegant hints of cigar boxes. Also notes of red apples, lemongrass, raw leather, fresh cut wood, dark chocolate, almonds, mint, paint thinner, and soy. [2, 9, 13, 15, 23]
Palate
Strong Oloroso notes with plums, blackcurrants, cherries, and hints of robust cognac. Polished wood, cedar, clove, aniseed, walnuts, and a nice sweet and sour balance. Intensely sweet with dark chocolate sauce, cardamom, treacle tart, ginger spices, and an oily texture with spicy raisin quality. Rich, oily, and full with dried fruit and spices, plus a hint of fine coffee. [2, 9, 11, 13, 15, 23]
Finish
Long and decidedly chocolate-y, with spiced fruits and a warming finish. A sweet and dessert-y experience with nuttiness and ground coffee. Oily finish of dark fruit, with a shift to drier notes of tobacco leaves and cocoa. [2, 9, 11, 15, 23]
