Description

The first commercial single malt whisky distillery in Taiwan, built by the King Car Group in 2005 and producing its first spirit the following year. The distillery takes its name from the indigenous Kavalan people of Taiwan's Kabalan Plain and the brand was launched in December 2008.

Palate
Sweeter than expected, a bit gunpowdery, with a grassy dry sherry and notes of kirsch. Cherry-and-walnut-flavoured mustard. With water: gets rather sweeter, with prunes and raisins.
Finish
Rather long, with a little green pepper over raisins and dried pears.
