Description

Kavalan Distillery was founded in 2005 on an idea of taking Scottish methods of making whisky and importing that expertise to Taiwan for a wholly-owned Taiwanese distillery. After a great deal of research investment, the fruits of their labour were finally brought to the world with the first spirit being produced in March of the following year. The distillery is situated in the north-east of Taiwan. This is a limited release for the New Year 2020, matured in Vinho Barrique casks which previously stored either red or white wine.

Freshly sweet and warming, infused wood, apple, cinnamon, citrus, tropical notes, blackberries, black cherries, spices, leather, toasted walnuts, candied ginger, sun-dried plum, sweet warming spices, dark fruits, jammy (plum), caramel, dark chocolate.
Finish
Long, sweet and spicy, drying on dark chocolate, red wine tannins, white grapes, chocolate, white pepper spice.
