Description

Kavalan Distillery, founded in 2005 in Taiwan by the King Car Group, produces single malt whisky. The Solist Vinho Barrique is part of their single cask, cask strength series, matured in re-charred American oak wine barrels. This expression has won numerous awards, including World's Best Single Malt Whisky at the 2015 World Whiskies Awards.

Nose
A rich fusion of vanilla and caramelized sugars with dark chocolate on top. Ripe melon and mango together with kiwi and a delicate blend of citrus fruits burst. Pepper is also present in the background.
Palate
Rich, smooth and creamy with incredible bursts of fruit, tropical flavors, caramel and loads of red fruit. Complex flavors embodying all that is best in the finest malt whiskies.
Finish
Long and complex, with dancing spices and a multitude of red fruits and tropical fruits that goes on and on. Sweet spiced tea, drying wood, a nice fresh and sweet wine influence, with hints of white grapes and chocolate.
