Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique is a Taiwanese single malt whisky matured in used American oak wine barrels that have been toasted and re-charred using Kavalan's unique STR (Shave, Toast, Re-char) process. Bottled at cask strength, it is known for its complex and multi-dimensional flavor profile, often featuring notes of vanilla, caramelized sugars, dark chocolate, and various fruits. It was named the World's Best Single Malt Whisky at the 2015 World Whiskies Awards.
