Description

An American whiskey company founded in 2019 as a revival of the the former Commonwealth Distillery Co, famously operated out of the old Hoffman distillery buildings by Julian Van Winkle III. It was established by Zachary Joseph, Andrew English and Troy LeBlanc.

Nose
Fresh wildflowers mingling with orange marmalade and Cinnabon icing, a cherry Dr. Pepper note and a punch of barrel char are present.
Palate
Midweight in the glass, it zips across the front of the palate before warming up the back. Chewy and oily in texture, it opens with cherry cola, then layers in honey, molasses, vanilla, cinnamon, and clove.
Finish
A fizzy cola note and trace of tobacco bring up the finish—long, drying, and hard to forget.
