Description

Kilchoman 100% Islay 7th Edition is the seventh release in Kilchoman's 100% Islay series, produced entirely on Islay with barley grown, harvested, malted, distilled, and matured at the distillery. This expression was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2017, after maturation in a combination of fresh and refill ex-Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels. The 100% Islay range represents the revival of traditional farm distilling, standing alone as Islay's only Single Farm Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Banana fritters with floral notes, toasted sugar, hint of malty chocolate, cut grass, fresh mossiness, cream, vanilla, citrus oils, gentle medicinal peat smoke, lemon notes, creamy barley, porridge oats, hint of liquorice root.
Palate
Honeyed and sweet, smoked barley blossoms, cooking spice, oily, very sweet, strawberry and yellow fruits, musty, spicy, honey, nut, slight bitterness, mint, spearmint, menthol, thick and oily mouthfeel.
Finish
Drying cacao, salted butter on crumpets, medium length, warming, spicy, clean barley cream, touch of mentholated smoke.
