Description

Kilchoman, which came online in 2005, was the first distillery to be built on Islay for 124 years. This 100% Islay Inaugural Release, bottled in 2011, was matured for three years in fresh and refill ex-bourbon barrels. It represents Kilchoman's vision to produce a whisky where every step, from growing the barley on Rockside Farm to malting, distilling, maturation, and bottling, is carried out on Islay. The spirit is only slightly peated at around 20ppm.
