Description

This is a limited edition release of 3,325 bottles created for the 2023 Kilchoman European Tour, which saw the distillery's Land Rover visit 13 countries in six weeks. Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-port casks (approximately 80% ex-Bourbon and 20% ex-Ruby Port), it is bottled at natural cask strength (58.5% ABV) with no coloring added and is un-chillfiltered.

Nose
Intense, smoky peat with maritime notes, dissolving into salty, citrus notes (lemon, orange, lime), fresh vanilla sweetness, red berries (redcurrant, wild strawberry), peach, melon, mango, ripe pear, a hint of tarte tatin, baked cream, walnuts, golden syrup, sultanas, and a touch of fish.
Palate
Creamy and spicy with ginger, pepper, cloves, nutmeg, citrus (chinotto, lemon), yellow fruit, earthy peat, black olives, seawater, mead, caramel, vanilla, oak, and a push towards smoked fish dipped in brine.
Finish
Long and salty with medicinal peat, brackish notes, toffee, subtle stone fruits, and a hint of cherry, with citrus lingering.
