Description

Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2019 Release is a limited edition, sherry cask matured single malt from the Kilchoman Distillery on Islay. It is the only whisky in the Kilchoman range fully matured in Oloroso sherry casks. The 2019 release is a combination of twenty Oloroso sherry butts from 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2011 vintages, including 12 and 13-year-old casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered, and natural in color. [2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 16, 18]

Bursting with notes of dried fig, orange peel, and sea salt, alongside hints of bacon, cinnamon, oak spice, and earthy, sooty peat smoke.
Palate
Sweet plums, chocolate, and salted caramel dance across the palate, complemented by wet peat smoke, Morello cherries, dark chocolate, sweet honey, and an undercurrent of ashy peat smoke.
Finish
Teasing flavors of cooked apples and dark chocolate before finishing on a dramatic burst of barbeque smoke, with a long, gentle smoky bacon peat and orange & lemon citrus.
