Description

This limited-release from Kilchoman distillery was launched exclusively for the UK market in 2023. A combination of whiskies matured in different cask types were married together to create this fruity, peaty single malt. The makeup includes 70% bourbon barrels, 25% Calvados casks and 5% oloroso sherry casks. It was bottled at 49% ABV with no colour added or chill-filtering. Note: The bottle's box states a different cask composition (40% Bourbon, 40% Sherry, 20% Port), but multiple reputable online sources consistently report the 70% Bourbon, 25% Calvados, 5% Oloroso Sherry breakdown for this specific release.

Palate
Fruity, with toffee, liquorice, fresh cereals, sweet apple pie, caramel, subtle smokiness, ghee and barley sugars, flapjacks, pannacotta, malted biscuits, apple fritters, sweet peat smoke, and medium pepper.
Finish
Lingering smoke, dried apple, dandelion leaf, machine oil, coal smoke, apple cores, golden cereal, original lockets, ginger and fine oak astringency, sweet and smoky.
