Description

A collection of independent bottlings produced by Dunphail Distillery Ltd., introduced in 2022 as a means of bridging the gap between the Dunphail distillery coming online and the maturation of its own single malt. This exceptional release, part of The Dava Way collection, hails from one of Islay's most revered distilleries, Ardbeg. The Kildalton 17 Years Old is a rare 'teaspooned' Scotch malt whisky, drawn from a single recharred bourbon barrel. With only 82 bottles produced, this whisky has been bottled at a natural cask strength of 54%, offering an intense and complex profile that highlights its 17 years of careful maturation.

Nose
Smoky peat intertwines with a fresh sea breeze, while notes of citrus zest, vanilla, and butterscotch evolve. Subtle herbal undertones of thyme and mint add depth to the bouquet.
Palate
Full-bodied and rich, this whisky showcases Ardbeg's signature peat smoke, harmonized by dark chocolate, toasted almonds, and a creamy mouthfeel. Hints of vanilla, honey, and warming spiced oak provide a satisfying balance.
Finish
Long and smoky, the finish lingers with gentle sweetness, a hint of citrus, and a dry, clean aftertaste with whispers of sea salt and oak spice.
