Description

This Kilkerran single malt was distilled at Glengyle Distillery in May 2004 and bottled in September 2019 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the distillery's opening. This particular single cask release was matured for 10 years in a Madeira cask and then transferred to a refill Bourbon cask for the remaining 5 years, and was exclusively released for the Taiwanese market. It is bottled at 51.1% ABV and is non-chill filtered.

Dried apricot and berry jam, with almond ice cream and slightly burnt brown sugar, followed by floral oak and a touch of peat. Soft peat smoke, leather-bound books, and toffee pudding.
Palate
Orange marmalade (with the peel), a whisper of smoke, banoffee pie and chocolate-covered honeycomb, and caramel digestive biscuits. Rich and dirty mouthfeel, with notes of date syrup, blackcurrant, cherry, redcurrant, and sea flavors.
Finish
Smooth, aromatic peat smoke alongside salted caramel and crème pâtissière. Medicinal smoke, ginger, and chocolate orange.
