A rather unusual bottle of Kilkerran single malt, originally released for the Glengyle Distillery's 2019 open day. Matured in bourbon casks for 15 years and bottled at a bold 57.1% ABV, it was an exciting find for fans of the Campbeltown distillery. [4, 6, 7, 12]

Nose
Great waxiness, subtle farminess and soft peat. Touches of honey, banana and nectarines, as well as just a bit of licorice, pine needles, and shoe polish. Superbly balanced.
Palate
Somewhat salty and savory, and there's a little more discernable peat as well. Some licorice root chew sticks, a bit of cloves and pepper. A hint of lemon curd maybe.
Finish
Lingering spices. Some chocolate. Earthy.
