Nose
Bright and fruity, lemons and tropical citrus, acidic pineapple, grassy sugars with crushed cane and a pressed lime, an acrid peat reek hung in the background with wispy smoke and metallic corrugated tin; a touch of earth and almost cream. Also dusty vinyl, mixed citrus and sugar crusted pastry, straw, rabbit pens, wet wood, wet straw, some vegetables, dry barley, husks, and barley ears.
Palate
Medium-bodied, fruity with citrusy pineapple and lemonade; guavas and mangos appeared among the deluge of citrus with hints of coconut and dried palm fronds; youthful and spirited, peppery; background notions of earth and tractor engines. Also milk bottles and sugared almonds shifting to an intense liquorice, sour apple and lychees. Fierce, very dry with lots of sharpness from the alcohol, dry barley, oak with coconut shell and walnuts.
Finish
Medium-length with peppery spirit and a touch of fruit. Long, dry and flinty. Very warming and slightly more focused on the oak, a bit less dry.
