Description

A 12-year-old pure malt from Takara Shuzo. This was estimated by Stefan Van Eycken to have been bottled between 1984 and 1989, and as such is unlikely to contain only Shirakawa malt whisky, however it is notable as the only official bottling prior to 2022 to bear the distillery's name. A historic Japanese manufacturer of saki and shochu, incorporated in 1925 although traces its origins back to 1842. All of the whisky produced at Shirakawa was destined to be used in the 'King Whisky' blend.
