Description

Established in 2009, Kingsbarns is one of Scotland's newer distilleries. Former golf caddie Douglas Clement initially tried to raise funds himself but the project was eventually bought out by Wemyss Distillery Ltd enabling the distillery, along with a visitor centre, to be opened in late 2014. [cite: Scotch Whisky Auctions] This Kingsbarns Bell Rock Cask Strength is a limited release from 2023, distilled with Fife grown barley. It is a marriage of 70% ex-Oloroso Sherry butts and 30% ex-bourbon barrels, presented at cask strength (61.1% ABV). The whisky is non-chill filtered and has natural colour, offering a fruity and spicy character. Only 3600 bottles were released.
