Description

The Kingsbarns Family Reserve 2020 is the first release in an annual high-strength bottling series from Kingsbarns Distillery. It uses the same recipe as their flagship 'Dream to Dram' expression and is matured in a combination of first-fill ex-Bourbon casks and shaved, toasted, and re-charred (STR) wine casks. The whisky is bottled at cask strength to intensify its flavors and aromas.

Nose
A strong floral note of jasmine and honeysuckle, honeyed mango, vanilla saffron custard, banana, wine gums and strawberry fondant. Zesty orange and lime, fresh mango and waves of honeyed barley.
Palate
Sugary shortbread, exotic fruits such as mango and papaya. Coconut chips changes to a more astringent and complex oak spice. Apricot and peach, cedar and cinnamon develop. Sugared almond and black pepper.
Finish
Intense yet fruity, oaky spice. Dried pineapple, vanilla and subtle charred oak heat.
