Description

Founded by John Thomson in 1896, Knockando distillery owns the sole rights to tap the Cardnach spring before it reaches the Spey. In 1904, the distillery was purchased by London gin giants, W&A Gilbey, who utilised Knockando's pale, golden coloured malt in their signature blend, J&B. Loosely translated from the Gaelic for 'little black hill', Knockando's distillery, which is simply named after the village, is known for producing a light, delicate, and fragrant single malt Scotch whisky with a distinctive, smooth character and a balanced profile featuring notes of fruit, vanilla, and gentle spice. This 1994 vintage 18 Year Old expression was matured in sherry casks.
