Description

Founded by John Thomson in 1896, Knockando distillery owns the sole rights to tap the Cardnach spring before it reaches the Spey. In 1904, the distillery was purchased by London gin giants, W&A Gilbey, who utilised Knockando's pale, golden coloured malt in their signature blend, J&B. Loosely translated from the Gaelic for 'little black hill', Knockando's distillery, which is simply named after the village, is known for its light, delicate, and nutty style of Speyside single malt whisky. It is bottled with vintage statements and has been sold as single malt for decades.
