Description

Founded by John Thomson in 1896, Knockando distillery owns the sole rights to tap the Cardnach spring before it reaches the Spey. Nose
Strong with treacle toffee and muscovado sugar-like sweetness with fruity plumy hints. Light and refined with green apple, pear, honeyed sweetness, and gentle vanilla notes.
Palate
Not as smooth or full-bodied as expected, with a rough edge, a touch of sharpness, and some sweetness. Soft malt sweetness, almond and gentle nutty tones, clean and biscuity malt character, with oak providing structure.
Finish
Smooth, dry, and quietly sweet.
