copper kettle3 OctThe nose sounds fresh, with lime and pear after aeration, before shifting toward bacon, smoked fish and soot. That move from bright fruit to darker peat is interesting, though it feels less in line with my usual Bourbon and rye lean.
Fresh lime, pear and almond milk set against maritime, herbaceous peat is a combination I find appealing. The later bacon, smoked-fish and soot notes give the nose a darker turn without losing that freshness.
