Description

Kurayoshi 8 Years Old is a blended malt whisky produced by Matsui Shuzo in the Tottori Prefecture of Japan. It is crafted from malt whiskies, some sourced from Scotland, and blended with Japanese malt whisky, then proofed with pure groundwater from the Daisen Mountains. This expression matures for at least eight years in carefully selected oak barrels, including ex-bourbon and new American white oak casks, with some influence from Mizunara casks. It is non-chill filtered, offering a harmonious combination of fruitiness, mild sweetness, and a gentle spiciness. This limited edition whisky has received several awards, including a Category Winner at the World Whiskies Awards 2019.
