Description
A Japanese blended malt whisky produced by Matsui Shuzou in Tottori Prefecture. This 18-year-old expression is crafted from a blend of aged Scottish and Japanese malt whiskies, matured in ex-bourbon casks. It is reduced to bottling strength with volcanic-rock-filtered water from Mount Daisen. The Kurayoshi 18 Year Old Pure Malt is non-chill filtered and bottled at 50% ABV. It has received significant accolades, including Japanese Whisky of the Year in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2022 and a Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
