A Finnish distillery that commenced production in 2014 after its founders lamented the lack of locally-produced rye spirits. It distils both whisky and gin, the latter of which is infused with locally-sourced botanicals. Its whisky is made with malted Finnish rye and aged in a variety of casks. Kyrö Sauna Stories No.1 is a 100% malted rye Finnish whisky, the first release in a new series, aged in new American oak and Jamaican rum casks, and uniquely finished in a sauna, reaching internal temperatures of up to 55 degrees Celsius. This process aims to extract unique compounds and harmonize flavors, celebrating the distillery's 10th anniversary and its founding in a sauna.
