Description

Like most Islay malts, Lagavulin is definitely not for the faint hearted. Palate
Rich and silky mouthfeel, with powerful peat, tar, and a toffee sweetness. Flavors of caramel, blood orange, cocoa, salmiak, olives, oak, salt, malt, sherry, citrus, vanilla, spice, pepper, dried fruit, and charred wood.
Finish
Long and spicy, with lingering tobacco smoke, cinnamon, and eucalyptus. Notes of sweet and salty interplay, with a slightly drying sensation, leading to earthy, nutty, and vanilla tones, and persistent peatiness.
