Named Avian Gull (a clever anagram of Lagavulin), this is a fantastic tasting whisky from Lagavulin distillery which was bottled 8 years of age by Dram Fool at full cask strength. One of just 202 bottles which were matured in a Bourbon cask.

Mossy forest floor, peaty, woody breath, smoke, distant bonfire, bark, resin, brine, tarred ropes, lavender, icing sugar, Germolene. Also notes of marijuana buds, cannabis resin, iodine, coal-tar soap, wax, and cake icing.
Palate
Sea spray, seaweed, warm, dry peaty fire, cream cakes. Rounded off by herbal peatiness, sweet creaminess, and a rich, velvety maltiness.
Finish
Quite tongue-coating, hangs around for a while, with a very faint bit of lime pickle.
