Description
Like most Islay malts, Lagavulin is definitely not for the faint-hearted. The distillery was officially founded in 1816 (although illicit production on the site most certainly predates that), and produces malt with a signature style of earthy smoke and savoury undertones. This Lagavulin 1994 Feis Ile 2010 bottling is a limited edition, single cask release, distilled on August 1st, 1994, and bottled in 2010 for the Feis Ile festival. It was matured in a European oak sherry cask and personally selected by Iain McArthur. Only 528 individually numbered bottles were released, making it a very rare collector's whisky.
