Description

An Islay malt distillery that is located between Laphroaig and Ardbeg on the south-east coast. One of two Islay distilleries in the Diageo portfolio, it is the island's representative in the Classic Malts of Scotland collection and its classic 16-year-old is one of the world's best-loved whiskies. This Lagavulin 1989 The Distillers Edition was distilled in 1989, matured for many years in American Oak Bourbon casks and up to 6 months in European Pedro Ximenez Sherry oak casks, and bottled in 2005 at 43.0% vol. It is a special release and limited edition from the Distillers Edition series.
