Nose
Massively smoky with sweetness, a tree resin quality, whiffs of kippers, seaweed, phenolic peat, hickory-smoked pork, and a hint of sulphur.
Palate
Initially nice, with sweet, smoky flavour, though some find it a bit watered down. Drinks easily for a peaty whisky.
Finish
Offers greater contrast with porky and bacon flavours, though intensity of flavour drops.
