Originally founded by Paul Currie, The Lakes Distillery is situated in the Lake District as part of a converted old Victorian cattle farm, taking inspiration from the stunning landscape. The technology and hardware are state-of-the-art, but the methods are traditional in what they call a 'holistic whisky making' process. This limited-edition single malt from The Lakes Whiskymaker's Editions series, Forbidden Fruit, combines the rich character of Port casks with the sweet and vibrant character of dessert wine casks.
