Nose
Great ashy notes and crystal clear malt, with vanilla ice cream, apple sweetness, lemon curd, dried herbs, balanced medicinal notes, subtle coastal breeze, and asphalt. Also sweet and low tide coastal, with lemon juice, rock salt, muddy peat, dry ashy smoke, sweet vanilla fudge, gooey honeycomb, white pepper, dried stone fruit, and dark toffee. [13, 19]
Palate
Medicinal, liquorice, oily peat smoke, tangy brine, and a light grassy bitterness. Soft and sweet entry, followed by a crescendo of tobacco leaf, smoky vanilla fudge, muddy and dirty peat, a big pile of cigar ash, red chilli flakes, iodine, and dryer, spicier peat. [13, 19]
Finish
Quite peppery, with white pepper, acrid smoke, light minerals, and lemon. Long length, with almost pure essence of Laphroaig. [13, 19]
