Nose
Full, and sweet. Smoky green apples, covered in orange glaze. Citrus sweet all over the place. A summer meadow, or what I imagine a sunny orange grove would smell like with oranges so ripe they are about ready to fall off the branches. Menthol mint, slight vick's vapo-rub. Zero alcohol sting. A lovely distant whiff of smoking meats.
Palate
Sweet, remarkably sweet on arrival. So much flavor it's hard to process it all, but very little burn considering the ABV. Green apple jolly ranchers. Morphing into cherry jolly ranchers after a moment. Bourbon notes coming in for sure, with some caramel and honey. Grassy, earthy, sweet and savory.
Finish
Finishes with the unmistakable Laphroaig signature of savory-sweet meat smoke with a touch of iodine. Lingers for a while.
