Description

A world-renowned Islay distillery, famous for its distinctive character of its heavily peated spirit and it has one of the longest-serving single malt brands. It was built in 1815 by Alexander and Donald Johnston and is today owned by Suntory Holdings through its Beam Suntory division. The first ever independent bottling company to be established in Malaysia, Eiling Lim began trading on 1st January. This 'Bessie's Dram' is named after Bessie Williamson, the first woman to manage a Scotch whisky distillery during the 20th century and former owner of Laphroaig.
