- Phenolic peat smoke mixed with sweet sherry notes, butterscotch, dried dates and longan, minerals and rock salt, nori, leather and cedar, burning charcoal, anise and coriander seeds, wheatgrass, starched linen, rubber and plastic in the background. Also pencil shavings, coal dust/creosote, sacking, earthy liquorice, brine, lemon, oak, pine needles, slight red berries, pear, pickles, heather, and vanilla.
- Palate
- Medium-full bodied, crisp barley and hops, peat and wood smoke, grilled fennel, apple cider and ginger beer, dried mandarin peel, apricot and cranberry, coriander and anise, sweetly medicinal, Szechaun pepper numbness, and bitterness. Also dry smoky tar, dry oak, coal dust, croissant pastry, prickly brine, mineralic, pickles, slight honey, vanilla, heather, and red berries.
- Finish
- Sweet tobacco spices, wood smoke, Lapsang Souchong, floral, herbal and grassy. Long and drying, with persistent medicinal and faint rubbery notes. Also long, clean, fruity and smoky, smoked mangos and lemon balm, peat, vinegar, brine, earthy oak, and smoke.
