Sweet briny smokiness with distinct island character, hints of mild antiseptic, creosote, wax polish, mint chocolate, floral seaside aromas, soft peat, gentle smoke, barley, malt extract, walnut, pine oil, iodine, dried fruit, nuts, lemon-lime, salt, earthy, petrichor, minerality, farmyard funk, hay, vanilla, caramel, apples, pears, and sometimes a faint lactic/fruity note.
Palate
Tantalisingly sweet, medicinal flavours, spicy pepper, dried fruit, rich peaty smoke, velvety vanilla, malty creaminess, notes of spice and smoke gathering above charred oak, quiet and dry peat with black pepper and earth, caramel, fudge, malt, hay, green grapes, wood spices, cinnamon, sea saltiness, oily, grippy, sweet salty popcorn, toffee, milk chocolate, apple compote, earthy motor oil, farmy funky undercurrent, ginger, lemon-lime soda twang, moss, poached pears, buttered toast.
Finish
Slightly short and simple, dominated by medicinal and ashy peat notes, oak dryness, vanilla, powdered sugar, medium-length, slightly smoky with spice, ginger, spicy oak, bitter chocolate, almond, sweet salty seas, long and lingering, sea salt, peat, black pepper, oak, malt, nutmeg, white pepper, cloves, charred oak rind, dry smouldering campfire ash, oily, briny salt, root vegetables, vanilla cream.
