Description

Ledaig Triple Wood is a limited edition single malt Scotch whisky from Tobermory Distillery, created in partnership with wildlife filmmaker Gordon Buchanan and the Mull and Iona Community Trust. This heavily peated expression is a marriage of whiskies matured in three distinct cask types: ex-bourbon, ex-red wine, and ex-Port casks. Bottled at natural cask strength of 53.8% ABV and non-chill filtered, it offers a bold and complex character.

Sweet notes of poached pears dusted with cinnamon, creamy butterscotch, and American cream soda, with underlying BBQ smoke and praline.
Palate
An initial burst of apple strudel and vanilla ice cream balanced with cracked black pepper, wood smoke, toasted oak, and treacle toffee. Red wine red fruit sweetness, marine salinity, and dark chocolate also present.
Finish
A lingering smoky finish with cloves, a touch of maple syrup, ash, cherry, and minerally-rock pool qualities.
