Description

One of the first single cask bottlings to be released from Lindores Distillery in Fife. This 2018 vintage whisky has been matured in a Bourbon barrel (No.18/68) until bottling in September 2021 at cask strength, producing only 220 bottles and available only from the distillery.

Nose
Sweet, savoury, sour fruity, honeyed beer-like character, honey & maple syrup-soaked banana/bloomer breadiness with lightly toasted poppy seeds. No ABV nip.
Palate
Neat, rather sour and peppery. Softer and more grainy with water. Savoury bready arrival, remains sour, pepperiness diminished.
Finish
Short, continuing sour, floury/chalky mild vanilla & banana < natural yoghurt conclusion.
